A whole chicken seasoned with a robust spice blend, air fried to crispy, golden skin and juicy meat, perfect for a family meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (about 1.5–2 kg)
  • 3 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp white pepper
  • 3 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon pepper
  • 2 tsp ground thyme
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Clean the chicken and pat dry with paper towels to ensure the skin is dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all the seasonings.
  3. Spray the whole chicken with cooking spray, then rub the seasoning mix generously all over the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket with the legs facing down.
  5. Set the air fryer to 160°C (320°F) and cook for 60 minutes.
  6. After 30 minutes, carefully flip the chicken over.
  7. Continue cooking for the remaining 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 85°C (185°F).
  8. Allow the chicken to rest for 15 minutes before carving and serving.
